Connor Prielipp ranked No. 9 out of 150 freshmen in college baseball

Alabama junior outfielder Tyler Gentry entered the 2020 MLB draft as the 81st-ranked ESPN prospect, the only Crimson Tide member within the top 200.

Despite nine SEC baseball players being selected in round No.1 of the draft, Alabama came up empty-handed. The wait didn’t last much longer. Gentry was drafted 76th overall by the Kansas City Royals.

Gentry appeared in 73 games and posted a .335 batting average, 17 homers, 63 RBIs, .420 OBP and 61 strikeouts through two seasons with Alabama.

We wish Gentry the best of luck and will keep you updated on the future of his baseball career!
